At the same time, can't wait for 2010!
2009... hurmmmm... hasn't been one of the best years I have to say. But I managed to survive! Wooohoooooo~ And... with that... learning a lot =]
Sooo.... Like all countdowns.. Imma try my own 10 year '09 highlights. And highlights doesn't necessarily mean all positive, happy happy joy joy events aites =]
10. Off with you now college!
So 09 marks the end of my life in HELP Uni College! I think the "I enjoy high school because of friends, not because of work" still applies here.
SO! I enjoyed college thanks to friends who made it worth coming to. Treasure every "sit on the floor" talks I had with Swei and just feeling like I can be silly me with her. Haha. They were fun! Gene, goodness, all the "save me a seat" messages! And all the HP towers, Manulife, and... other buildings that i sadly do not remember their names. Jason never fails to make me feel stupid (haha) especially in Chem classes! But we do talk a lot! Fux! You damn hobo! Haha. Sadly we only started talking towards the end of 08. But college wouldn't be the same without this weird midget-y hobo. (lol, i kid about the midget part) Alex! Who never fails to check my handphone messages =.= Miss you la brother! You know what! I just miss lotsa peeps from college! You guys rock la!
As for studies... heh heh... Okay hate it.. Results... wanna burn them.. But... In the end.. I guess, they're alright? 1,6, 10 marks... so close! Haih. Nevermind la. I still got myself into uni =\ Sad to think that I bummed so much over my results that I forgot how fun college actually was... Dushhh...9. Life as a ballerina
Though I didn't take any exams this year, I've learnt many things teaching my own classes. Like, kids, they LOVE stickers. It's so easy to bribe them. LOL. And, kids really do say the darnedest things!
"miss khor... today, my daddy scold my maid... because she spilled the water"
Okay, I know it doesn't make sense, BUT, it's a... you have to be there to feel all "awwwwww" and stuff kinda moment. How could you not melt at that! =] And this happens like.. in every single class, without fail! I can turn up for classes feeling all shitty and stuff but, kids really do have a way of warming you up from the inside =] And, it also feels very accomplishing when you've taught you're student to grasp the idea, technique, step!

Also, we had a newspaper photo shoot for our school's charity concert cheque giveaway thingy which I decided to make sure I attend. Putting on my tutu, shoes, make up again.... Which makes me miss Dance Concerts so much! ='[ Makes me look forward to the next one! Which would be next year! Yea!!!

8. College Prom 09!
I was... soooo... extremely late for my own college prom! Haha! Like, I didn't have enough time to do my hair or make up or whatever. Not even wear the friggin dress properly! All because, like all photo shoots, the newspaper ballet photo shoot thing, didn't end on time! Haha. So, I was just like... Rushing outta me tutu, taking off my bun, wiping off the terribly heavy make up. Goodness... the poor date... also made him late.. like... about... 1hr ++??? So I missed a whole lotta taking picture outside the ballroom before the doors open thing, pre dinner drinks, performances. Sigh.
And I was rushing so much, I think I ripped part of my dress? Yea... Jason found a lighter for me though to burn the ends of the cloth in place so it wouldn't frail so much. Was it worth all of this?
Hehe... Definitely? Completely out of my expectations but.... I became PROM QUEEN!!! Wheeeee~ This becoming my... 2nd Prom Queen title. Haha. High school.. College?!?!? Like... WHAT?!?!?! Like college prom couldn't get any better! Haha... Sigh... That was a good night. =]
7. Spontaneous sleepovers
So the girls had sleepovers... Just gotta love the BATU SISTERS for coming up with such spontaneous ideas. WE ROCK! lol. From a "can't let this birthday celebration end just yet" moment to a "dessert's bar chit chat" meet up, Jo-Ann, Katrina and I, someone's bound to say "sleepover la!". And if that last min plan gets the approval from our parents, we're all just giddy and glee-ey (is there such a word?) cos like any other sleepover, there will definitely be a whole lotta story telling going on ;]

6. Gentingsssss Tripsssss
With the most unlikely bunch of people! Haha! Gene, Chun Hoe, Fu Xuan, Jon, Debbie and I (with Dex and Zhen Lun who joined later in the night) decided to have an outta the blue trip to Genting! Stayed in an awesome room and played cards too many times! The boys were addicted to that Space Shot ride thing. I think we took any hardcore rides available like twice? But the thing that really KILLED us was that baby ride SWING thing, like literally, we DIED after that kiddish ride XS
Haha. But it was a whole load of fun! Not to mention how we ate maggi hot cups every single day every single time! And Fu Xuan's epic phail jello shots =.= Thank goodness there were shuttle buses to Gohtong Jaya! We had good ol' chinese food! And lots of satay!!!!! Wheee.... And after eating, we always had to catch the shuttle bus back to our hotel. And that was probably the most hilarious thing!
"DON'T GO INTO THE CLOUDED AREA!"
"DON'T FORNICATE!"
"BAHHSSSSSS!!!! BAHHSSSSSSSSS!!!!" *runs* roflmao! Genting rocks! With friends! We were all meh-overdosed...
5. Flashmobs and Explosion OST
So this year, E-OST decided to compete again! Haha! Gosh.... Gene, Aris, Germaine, Julius and Kim! We had oodles of fun during practices at Floor Fever's place. From Aris's new found talent in voguing and wacking, to many costume shopping attempts together, to just fooling and playing around (handstands, six steps, weird...but funny... dance steps), to our new found mascot.... everybody do the moose! (LOL).... sigh... We didn't win, but it was a good experience la!
From there, we managed to get ourselves into dance flashmobs... and get paid! Thank you Floor Fever! Did a few.... Maxis Iphone 3Gs launch,
Beyonce's Pre-Concert party at Zouk (of course she didn't come in the end... pfffft)
and the Adidas World Cup Official Football launch.
And then, there's gonna be the New Year's Eve flashmob. Haha. Each and every practice / rehearsal session was great. Learned new dance steps and had fun with the whole mob.
4. Cat walking.... ... .. .
Was asked to catwalk for the Giordano line for Victim a la Mode fashion show. Was an awesome experience! From the fitting sessions, make up, hairstyling, small practice sessions walking, cameras lined up as you walk. Haha. There's something to cat walking, very much like dance performances, where you know everyone's just looking at you, and you just gotta give them all you've got with that "attitude"? Don't know whether I got the runway attitude right. Haha. And I realised... that I can actually fit into size 24 jeans! OMG. Of course if I sat down I'm pretty sure that's a whole different story. Lol.
And, make up artists and hair stylists are just the most pleasant people. Haha. Sure I found it hard to communicate with them (blame my epic banana-ness) but they like to compliment you... like... A LOT... haha... Makes you feel awwww.... =]3. Commercial shootings & trailer shooting
I had the chance to do the "Sehati Berdansa" promotional commercial which... involved a lotta dancing. Haha. Was supposed to be the Zapin dancer at first, but after casting, I was switched to the Hip Hop team as the main couple dancer! Wheeee~ Great.... Only, I'm not much of a hip hop dancer... haha. But managed to pull through with the rest under the guidance of Uncle Raimie (choreographer) and his never-ending instructions...
"more chemistry!, more sexy!, more expression!, lebih garang!, smile less!"
Haha. Stayed up for a whopping 42 HOURS that whole day/night cos had to collect my A Levels results in the morning, dance practice with E-OST in the afternoon, commercial shoot from the whole entire night and day, and practiced with E-OST again the next night for our competition the following day. Phew... I've never had such a jam packed schedule ever! And I had to teach ballet before our dance comp! It's a wonder how I didn't fall sick after all that! You can check out that commercial vid here!

2. Meeting new people... and from then on......
I like meeting new people and I like making new friends! Expand the social circle, get more connections =] But, I'd have to say, 2009 was a year for meeting more dancers and people from the beauty industry? Yea, I guess I can categorise them that way. Haha! From all the shootings, catwalk, flashmobs, performances... ahhh... good to meet new peeps from all walks of life. Hope these aren't the... "met you once and will never ever know you again" kinda scenario... Haha. I hate it when people go like
Me : I think we've met before... was it the.... ________?
Person : Really? I'm sorry, I don't remember. (here comes the finishing line!) I have really bad memory....
=.=" heh...
But then again! Dear 2009, has thought me that sometimes it's best not to get too close to people you've just met! It shall set upon you dire consequences! rawrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Heh.. But I can't change what I've done, though I always hope that this is something from a bad dream. If you can't possibly decipher this whole load of gibberish... then stop trying ;] Some might, some might not =]
And from that! Sigh... 2009... gee... you're not very forgiving are you? Ishhh.... But! I'm gonna take 2009 like you know... those... Mandarin teachers. They scold the crap outta you, beat you, make you cry, make you feel like you never ever wanna go for class again! But deep down inside, you know you are learning something =] So... 2009! It's a year for learning!
1. The lovelies, the babes, the batus, the girlfriends... Friends & Family!
Yea... This sounds sooooo cliche! But... 2009 wouldn't be what it was without the F&F. Actually, every year wouldn't be what it was without some F&F. Right? =]Thanks for always being there! It's good to know there are people you can rely on!
Hurmmmm... I don't know why I can't make this point any longer... LOL. Maybe I suck at showing gratitude! Haha! But sometimes the shortest points just hit home run... Has it? =]
