poooooor you.....

Wednesday 27/01/10

Matilda Tan Huey Ren............ (haha! I know your full name la!)

Yea. Went out with her (finally!) to walk around KL for the day.... Specifically lotsa monorails and lrts and Sungei Wang and Lot 10. And Jess (did I get her name right? =]) came along too!

So started out with an early morning and Miss Tan Huey Ren woke up late! Lol. But yea.. I kinda woke up EIGHTEEN minutes late too... Haha! But I was ready in time! *claps* Went back to her place and waited for her to freshen up and change and what not. Also had a good chat which I'm sure would've stretched on forever if we had time to dig out all sorts of incriminating evidences involving certain people.... heh heh! Once we were good to go her mom dropped us off at the Taman Bahagia LRT station.

LRT stations in Malaysia should have more trains... and definitely MORE coaches! It's so packed........ urghhh... And there's almost always no seat left for anyone who actually manages to cram their way through just to join the working masses into the human sardine can. Owhhh Malaysia.... Why..... Hopped off the LRT to only continue our journey to the Monorail... Wheeee... More sardine cans!

Once we got to Sungei Wang, had our early lunch at Lot 10's food court. Hehe. I like! Beef Noodles, Beef Balls and Tripe! Yum yum!

And.... the rest of the day was spent walking aimlessly around the maze of shops in Sungei Wang. Didn't find much, or probably wasn't really looking for anything. Haha. But I got myself a belt. Jess did a lil impulse buying and got herself a ring and a postcard. But Matilda.......

That woman! Lol. She can shop la. And you're probably imagining this woman drowning herself in paper bags and plastic bags of retail goodness. But no... She went more for quality (there goes the money. lol.) rather than quantity. Vincci shoes (heels in this case) and a "love at first sight" Elle handbag (yea.. she didn't get that in Sg Wang but in Isetan obviously). But for a "love at first sight" buy, I'm glad that she actually got that bag! Imagine the regret if you didn't get it! (reminds me of myself with the Charles & Keith anklet boots.... arghhhh... regret... crap..... =.=")

Saw lotsa Guess 5 inch pumps. 2 selling for RM250.... oooooooh~ Saw this one gold peep toe 5 inch platform pumps and sorta fell in love with it. Trying it on, I didn't care if I would tower over the average Malaysian men's height, it was like.... *sigh* And it wasn't one of those blaring, in your face, gaudy, look at (ho)me kinda gold colour. Was a very very subtle gold colour in fact! But couldn't find another pair of heels to fit under that particular sale.... Arghhhh.... Pffft....

Reminding myself about it, I can only resort to making unintelligible snorts and sound effects cos it's just so frustrating! That is 2 wasted opportunities getting shoes! Why is shopping so soothing yet so frustrating! ='[

Anyway. Before we headed back, had that.... Yoo Char Kuey? thingy ma jig... and Hot Soya Bean... Mmmmmhmmmm.

Took the sardine cans back home and drove the girls back to their place! Wheeee. Haha. I don't think they'd wanna sit in my car again! Lol.

And I bet... (well.. pretty obvious) all our feet ache and we could really use a fish spa.. Haha! Ballet on friday woman! Come early! =] We shall go on pointe!

Toodles ya'll!

one more time....

Monday 25/01/10

Out again to meet Lil Miss Suet Wei! Like OMG! Suet Wei?!?!?! Going out on a Monday? Lol. You know we love you Swei!

So it was one of those meet ups with lunch and a movie. And well done angeline you've done it again. Reluctantly agreeing to watch a horror movie =.=" I have never ever successfully kept my eyes glued on the movie screen for more than half of a horror show. So when it comes to horror movies it's like my kryptonite. Usually I'd have a box of popcorn which I can use to hide screen but this time I was wayyyyyy too stuffed from lunch to even buy popcorn. Damn jelak.
So before out movie even started, we had lunch at Dave's.

I love their pastas and such, and I love it even more thanks to their 50% off during lunch time hours promotion. Haha! Awesome pasta at half price?!?!

Me like! And it's really worth it cause it really does fill you up to the brim! The last few fork loads of fettuccine had me but I have successfully conquered the awesome mass of pasta and cream! Rahahahaha!

These 2 going all cute! Haha!

The.... movie......... urghhhhhhhh... noooooo....

Haunted Universities. I'd really like to give this movie a rating but obviously anyone who has barely watched half the movie is very much INCAPABLE and INELIGIBLE to rate a movie!

Basically based on true stories, it has 4 different creepy, freaky, spooky stories and all obviously involving university students..... Gees.... Uni student here in 4 weeks? Swei! You'll be flying off to UK! Good luck la! Lol.

There were some funny scenes in the movie though, but I was really too chicken to even see what they were cause... well.. I was busy looking down, only managing to see the thin strip of English subtitles for the Thai movie and watching the front row occupants' reactions. Sigh. Omgoodness... This is so EPIC PHAIL! The entire movie held me in complete trepidation (where's my bloody popcorn box!). I shall now and forever remind myself to never watch a horror movie in the cinema!

Even Swei herself gloated that she managed to watch more of the movie than I did! =[ But that's thanks to Sasha! Haha! Or else you'd join me watching "Subtitles & Audience" the movie. And trust me... it's a pretty looonggggg movie. Haha.

After the movie (whooopeee!) did some window shopping in Forever 21 and Pull & Bear. I WANT WANT WANT them platform 5 inch pumps & all those cute anklet booties in Pull & Bear. Makes the leg look wayyyyyyyyyyyy longer! Haha!

And basically... that's about it! Sorry we couldn't help you find Chinese New Year clothes Swei! There's always next time! This time... No movies kay! =]
Toodles ya'll!

Sunday 24/01/10

Darren's "Farewell" was a very stomach-satisfying event (seems like I always talk about food =])

Was suppose to head to MURNI'S! But it was raining soooo heavily. Tried our luck anyway, so Jon, Jess, Gene, Darren and myself drove all the way to SS2 to check it out. SURPRISE SURPRISE it was closed.... heh.

After much shouting, cursing (lol), loudspeaker-ing and over-indecisiveness on the phone, the bunch of us finally decided to have dinner at PICCADILLY & BANGKOK MASALA. Thank goodness we didn't get lost or go through some major kan cheong moment in the car trying to find the place and it was pretty easy to find!

First impression : This place looks good. I bet it's better than MURNI'S. Pretty appropriate for a farewell dinner.

Going through the menu was torture while we were waiting for the rest of them to get there. There's just so MUCH to choose from! How can ONE (well, actually 2 but both restaurants seem to run under the same management) restaurant actually prepare to serve soooooo wide a variety of GLORIOUS FOOD! There really was just everything there. Western, Local, Japanese, Indian, Thai, Chinese, you name it and I'm pretty sure they've got it somewhere in their huge fold over menus.

Once everyone arrived, massive food ordering took over! Yea! Hungry people are Angry people! Lol. But that would probably make us the bottle up your anger inside kinda peeps. Everybody's food looked really REALLY good, and no I'm not saying this because I actually am pretty hungry right now writing this, I genuinely mean it. Lots of "ooooh, yours looks really good, maybe I should've ordered yours instead" were going round the table. Haha!

well... maybe except gene's kaya toast which came really really small! but i'm sure it tasted good. but the rest were great! Black Pepper Udon Mee, Chicken Chop, Garlic Naan, Fried Nasi Lemak......

We also had a very VERY good chat which only started with a question *wink wink* Haha! We have a new addition! =]

Night was still young so we decided to head over to Tan's place for more chit chat and maybe a lil booze here and there. Some sat by the pool to have GHOST STORY TELLING SESSION #4, while some of us continued our lil chat elsewhere. Haha!

Tan decided to take all of us to this REALLY SPOOKY HOUSE ON THE HILL (which we found to our surprise, there actually isn't any house on the hill, just a couple of old construction containers). So here we go a-driving up up the hill.
You know everything's fine as long as you can see where you're headed, but once we get out of the cars, engines off, car lights off, total pitch black surroundings, that's when you actually start to understand what Tan really meant with REALLY SPOOKY HOUSE ON THE HILL. It was so dark we couldn't see what we were stepping on as we walked further up the hill on the narrowing road. Handphone lights won't cut it!

Funny thing was we found a Guitar Hero guitar (or maybe it was a child's toy.... eeeep! freaky!) at the broken down entrance of the hill. All the leaves, twigs, lalang (I quote Daryl) "added to the suspense". Haha. When we finally reached the top there were these two EMPTY construction containers. Hurmmm...

Well none of us dared to go inside. Haha! So we hurried back down the hill and back to our cars =] REALLY SPOOKY HOUSE ON THE HILL didn't deliver as much spookiness as we expected but it was fun though going up the hill as a group.
Went back to Tan's place, had a lil bit more to drink and talked a bit before we all headed back home.

our little drunktard moment.. haha! kidding kidding. there was none left 0=] i think...

mei, your legs are sooooo long!!!!

we found a poor old lost lil puppy by the pool... awwww.

mei's officially an alcoholic. she brought her drink into the car!

Overall it was a good night! Hope you had fun Darren! Screw your internship in Australia and come down to Malaysia! Lol! I kid =]

We will miss you! And your incessant song destructions! Next time we go karaoke la!

Toodle's ya'll!

Friday 22/01/10

Evening....

The bunch of us went out for some bowling! Woohoo!!!

I think I pretty much rocked at bowling! Lol! Had a few strikes and spares... But then again... It might just be luck.. (noooooo...) But I beat Gene! Romah ro mah mah!!!!
Game cut short cos I had to leave early for ballet. Owhh wells. I WILL BE BAK!

Night....

Hehe! This is when the fun starts. Was suppose to have a sleepover at my place, but, had to wake up early the next day so I couldn't risk sleeping late and waking up late! Cos... then the office would be all like
"angeline... where are you? the students are already here waiting for you...."
So NOH!!!! That CANNOT happen! Lol. Sorry la guys... Another time okie? =]
By 10pm or so everyone was at my house wondering what they were really doing at my place. Haha. Damn random la. But this gathering was with a purpose! And that purpose was TO PLAY TEXAS HOLD 'EM!!!!

Awesome awesome awesome! Since none of us had poker chips we improvised! With Scrabble, Checkers, Bingo and Congkak pieces! And the rest of the night was just us being us...

Was like another small Sekolah RENDAH Kebangsaan Bukit Damansara reunion... + Jo and Sham =] But it was definitely another SEKOLAH MENENGAH KEBANGSAAN SERI HARTAMAS reunion!!!!!

*kami warga smk seri hartamas... bersatu mencapai aspirasimu.....*

We SHOULD HAVE sang the whole song properly la! Relive high school years!

Slept at 3.30 while the rest continued playing... And my eyes could barely open.. So the poker face also sorta went... down down down down downnnnnnn

I shall let the pictures do the talking here =]

"poke her face" paddle pop addicts
eventually I managed to scrape some winnings (and due to facial muscle fatigue forcing me to slowly lose my game face and sleepiness I lost it all! Haha!)

Toodles ya'll!
