Sunday 24/01/10

Darren's "Farewell" was a very stomach-satisfying event (seems like I always talk about food =])

Was suppose to head to MURNI'S! But it was raining soooo heavily. Tried our luck anyway, so Jon, Jess, Gene, Darren and myself drove all the way to SS2 to check it out. SURPRISE SURPRISE it was closed.... heh.

After much shouting, cursing (lol), loudspeaker-ing and over-indecisiveness on the phone, the bunch of us finally decided to have dinner at PICCADILLY & BANGKOK MASALA. Thank goodness we didn't get lost or go through some major kan cheong moment in the car trying to find the place and it was pretty easy to find!

First impression : This place looks good. I bet it's better than MURNI'S. Pretty appropriate for a farewell dinner.

Going through the menu was torture while we were waiting for the rest of them to get there. There's just so MUCH to choose from! How can ONE (well, actually 2 but both restaurants seem to run under the same management) restaurant actually prepare to serve soooooo wide a variety of GLORIOUS FOOD! There really was just everything there. Western, Local, Japanese, Indian, Thai, Chinese, you name it and I'm pretty sure they've got it somewhere in their huge fold over menus.

Once everyone arrived, massive food ordering took over! Yea! Hungry people are Angry people! Lol. But that would probably make us the bottle up your anger inside kinda peeps. Everybody's food looked really REALLY good, and no I'm not saying this because I actually am pretty hungry right now writing this, I genuinely mean it. Lots of "ooooh, yours looks really good, maybe I should've ordered yours instead" were going round the table. Haha!

well... maybe except gene's kaya toast which came really really small! but i'm sure it tasted good. but the rest were great! Black Pepper Udon Mee, Chicken Chop, Garlic Naan, Fried Nasi Lemak......

We also had a very VERY good chat which only started with a question *wink wink* Haha! We have a new addition! =]

Night was still young so we decided to head over to Tan's place for more chit chat and maybe a lil booze here and there. Some sat by the pool to have GHOST STORY TELLING SESSION #4, while some of us continued our lil chat elsewhere. Haha!

Tan decided to take all of us to this REALLY SPOOKY HOUSE ON THE HILL (which we found to our surprise, there actually isn't any house on the hill, just a couple of old construction containers). So here we go a-driving up up the hill.
You know everything's fine as long as you can see where you're headed, but once we get out of the cars, engines off, car lights off, total pitch black surroundings, that's when you actually start to understand what Tan really meant with REALLY SPOOKY HOUSE ON THE HILL. It was so dark we couldn't see what we were stepping on as we walked further up the hill on the narrowing road. Handphone lights won't cut it!

Funny thing was we found a Guitar Hero guitar (or maybe it was a child's toy.... eeeep! freaky!) at the broken down entrance of the hill. All the leaves, twigs, lalang (I quote Daryl) "added to the suspense". Haha. When we finally reached the top there were these two EMPTY construction containers. Hurmmm...

Well none of us dared to go inside. Haha! So we hurried back down the hill and back to our cars =] REALLY SPOOKY HOUSE ON THE HILL didn't deliver as much spookiness as we expected but it was fun though going up the hill as a group.
Went back to Tan's place, had a lil bit more to drink and talked a bit before we all headed back home.

our little drunktard moment.. haha! kidding kidding. there was none left 0=] i think...

mei, your legs are sooooo long!!!!

we found a poor old lost lil puppy by the pool... awwww.

mei's officially an alcoholic. she brought her drink into the car!

Overall it was a good night! Hope you had fun Darren! Screw your internship in Australia and come down to Malaysia! Lol! I kid =]

We will miss you! And your incessant song destructions! Next time we go karaoke la!

Toodle's ya'll!

~love love~
